With over 20 years experience in the industry Máiread is an enthusiastic manager. She enjoys working closely with the fitness team to ensure the members experience at Fota Island Resort is rewarding and enjoyable.

Máiréad believes health and fitness is a conscious lifestyle choice necessary for longevity and happiness, and her goal at Fota Island Resort is to help you our members achieve this.

With over 10 years in the industry Karen has been a passionate supporter of promoting fitness, teaching her very first spin class in Cardiff back in 2007, then in the heart of London to where she finds herself now, at Fota Island Resort . For the past 10 years she has brought fun and fitness together in one of the best settings Cork has to offer.  Whether you fancy trying a spin class, joining run club or a power hour class Karen and her fitness team are here to help.

Ger is a friendly, self motivated, super enthusiastic trainer and has developed a wide range of fitness & health knowledge over the last 7 years as a Personal Trainer. Ger is constantly learning and maintains a strong focus on corrective exercises, mobility and strength as well as High Intensity Interval Training. Ger always strives to improve his clients' physical health by implementing individualised, fun workouts in the Fota Island Performance Gym, he makes each session enjoyable and goal orientated in equal measure.

ROB ZAHARIA - FITNESS INSTRUCTOR & PERSONAL TRAINER

Rob is passionate, motivating and fully invested in making you preform to the best of your ability. His main goal is to teach his clients how their body works and how to increase overall performance, his primary focus of training is movement/mobility mechanics, injury prevention, strength and conditioning and has a strong background in core and bodyweight training. Rob has a strong passion for calisthenics which involves training with your own body weight – gymnastics.
