Career Advancement and Employee Training
Career advancement is important to us at Fota Island Resort. All positions are advertised internally and we encourage all associates to submit their applications. Promotions are based on our 8 Competencies and suitability for the role. Continuous development and training is very important to us.
We provide training with both internal and external trainers. We currently have The Fota Collection Leadership and Development Programme 2021 which is in association with CETB and accredited by City and Guilds.
The purpose of this programme is to equip candidates with the knowledge, skills and attitude to prepare for Leadership and Management. This programme is two years in duration and aims to build and recognise high potential associates while attracting and retaining talent.
The Leadership Development Programme is certified by City and Guilds in association with The Cork Education and Training Board. Students graduate with a City and Guilds qualification after two years on successful completion.
